1. Harshal Patel

Harshal Patel of Royal Challengers Banglore is tops on the list for Most wickets during the IPL season. The IPL 2021 season saw the right-arm pacer at his best, taking 32 wickets. This feat was achieved in just 15 games with a staggering strike rate of 10.56. His 32 wickets are the most in any single IPL season. His 32 wickets include a five-for (four-for), a four, and a hat trick.

2. Dwayne Bravo

Dwayne Bravo, Chennai Super Kings all-rounder, is second in the IPL season’s Most wickets list. The IPL 2013 saw 32 wickets for the Caribbean all-rounder. He was known for his ability to outfox batsmen using the slower ball, which was one of his highlights during that season. Harshal Patel, in 2021, equaled the record. He held it for seven years. Bravo was victorious in 32 of 18 matches. He also won four-for in the final match against MI. 

3. Kagiso Rabada

Kagiso Rabada’s name in the list of Most wickets in the IPL season might not be surprising. South African pacer Kagiso Rabada was at his best during the IPL 2020. He took 30 wickets for Delhi Capitals. He did this feat in 17 matches, taking wickets on an average of 18.27. He formed a formidable partnership with Anrich Nortje and helped Delhi  Capitals reach the tournament’s final. 

4. Lasith Malinga

Lasith Malinga is the fourth most successful IPL wicket-taker. He was a former Sri Lankan paver who took 28 wickets in IPL 2011, helping his team reach the playoffs. He was also the proud owner of a purple cap. He held the record for the most IPL wickets until Dwayne Brave broke it in 2013.

5. James Faulkner

Australian all-rounder and Rajasthan Royals player, he had a breakthrough season during IPL 2013. He was the second-highest wicket-taker with 28. He was the second-highest wicket-taker that season and played an essential role in his team’s success. His 28 wickets also included two five-wickets. In 60 matches, he took 59 wickets for an average of 29.13.
